Bronwyn Burch transforms the wild terrain of South Western Australia into immersive works of textured color, movement, and meaning.
My art is rooted in nature and the energy that surrounds us. Using acrylic paint, various mediums, and a touch of science, I work to capture the movement and beauty found in the natural world.
The abstract forms and landscapes I create on canvas and board reflect the dynamic character of the southwest—its shifting coastlines, textured earth, and changing light. My work carries a sense of rhythm and flow, echoing the power and fluidity of the sea and land.
These pieces are not just visual; they are meant to be felt. I aim to create spaces that draw viewers in, inviting them to pause, sense, and connect with the energy within the work.
Artist, mover and abstract storyteller of the earth.
I'm Bronwyn, an artist and mother based on Wardandi Boodja in the southwest of Western Australia. My studio sits between forest and sea, offering a quiet space where much of my creative work takes shape.
My path into the arts began with a passion for ballet. I was accepted into the Academy of Performing Arts at 15, which led to an international dance career. Later, I studied prosthetic art in Woodbridge, England. From there, I transitioned into visual arts—a natural shift, having grown up surrounded by creativity. My mother was both an artist and gallery owner, so art was always a part of my life.
My first exhibition was held at Gallows Gallery in Perth, WA. Today, my work continues to explore process and presence. Each piece reflects personal experiences, connection to place, and a curiosity about the deeper layers of being human.
My work continues to explore the energetic nature of our environment, using various techniques to capture and express that energy on the canvas and board. Each piece is an ongoing study of movement, connection, and the unseen forces that shape the world around us.
I aim to capture movement, texture, and the unseen forces that shape the natural world.
My work is rooted in nature and the energy that flows through our environment. Using acrylic paint, mixed media, and elements of science, I aim to capture movement, texture, and the unseen forces that shape the natural world. The abstract forms and landscapes I reflect the dynamic character of the southwest—its coastlines, light, and layered terrain. My pieces evoke rhythm and motion, inviting the viewer to connect emotionally and energetically with the work.
I focus on process and presence, letting intuition guide each piece. My practice is not about perfection—it’s about capturing feeling and allowing space for something authentic to emerge.
